Factory

The Archwood factory, located in Căteasca, Argeș County, has been operating since 2007 and has successfully built a stable team of carpenters—the same people who have contributed to the company’s growth over time. We have continuously invested in people and the local community, recognizing that technological progress is essential to our success.

These principles have enabled us to produce high-quality laminated wood carpentry, while also supporting this industry as an accessible and efficient option in the domestic market.

We chose wood as the primary material due to its durability and efficiency in carpentry production, as well as the aesthetic and functional value it adds to any construction. From historic buildings, where wood is essential for preserving architectural authenticity, to passive houses that use 92 mm thick profiles equipped with modern hardware and triple or quadruple glazing for optimal thermal efficiency.

Classic designs are often preferred for doors, while shutters are increasingly in demand for residential projects, adding both aesthetic and functional value by protecting interiors from sunlight and providing additional privacy.

We constantly focus on optimizing technological processes, which allows us to maintain a competitive production cost and offer advantageous solutions for our clients, ensuring an excellent quality-to-price ratio.

We use state-of-the-art technology, including a 4-axis CNC machine from SCM Italy, which allows us to create arches and circles with impeccable precision, with a production capacity of two arches per hour, starting from a minimum size of 60 mm. Thanks to numerical control technology, we can precisely adjust the dimensions, ensuring that the final design of arches and circles is perfect, eliminating the need for final touch-ups and the assembly difficulties associated with doors and hardware featuring complex geometric shapes.

Although it is often said that wood “works” over time, our process of layering and gluing multiple layers of wood under pressure forms laminated wood, which prevents natural deformations. The use of water-resistant adhesives ensures the long-term durability of laminated wood. Due to its remarkable advantages, laminated wood is widely used in various fields, from furniture and interior design to automobiles, sports equipment, and medical devices.

Laminated wood products offer a durability of 30-50 years, and their "breathability" helps regulate indoor humidity. Additionally, laminated wood is an excellent material for thermal insulation, making it an ideal choice for any type of construction. Laminated wood doors and hardware are equipped with state-of-the-art locking systems and are made from high-quality materials—wood and glass.

Laminated wood carpentry is a premium product made from high-quality wood, double, triple, or quadruple glazing, eco-friendly paints, and high-performance hardware from Italy. The glass used has a thickness of 4-16-4 mm, LOW-E with argon, featuring a thermal transmittance coefficient of k=1.1 W/m²K. Upon request, we can provide special glass options, such as thermo-reflective, smoked (parsol), or glass of various thicknesses (6-8 mm).

The materials used are carefully selected, with the wood dried to 8-12%. High-quality wood is lengthwise bent and bonded with single-component D4 adhesive, ensuring a durable and resistant profile. The profiles are manufactured in standard sizes (68×87 cm for window hardware, 72×115 cm for entrance doors, and 42×115 cm for interior doors). The three wood layers are obtained by radially cutting the log, finished with pigmentation or staining, resulting in a smooth and elegant surface.

ROTO NT hardware ensures airtight sealing and thermal-acoustic insulation for windows and terrace doors. For entrance doors, the ROTO-DOORSAFE hardware provides a five-point locking system, offering enhanced security. Upon request, doors can be equipped with a remote-controlled automatic locking/unlocking system.

Laminated wood carpentry adds a distinguished status to any construction, serving as a key element that enhances and sets any project apart. Archwood teams visit clients’ homes to take precise measurements and provide personalized consultation for each project. Additionally, we can use polyurethane-based paint, which allows for more efficient cleaning with bioacides, ensuring easy maintenance and long-lasting durability.

The wood species we use in the production of laminated wood carpentry include oak, meranti, Nordic pine, solid linden, and iroko, the latter being used strictly for interior doors.
